The Lions Barber Collective at GT4 Silverstone

Role: Cinematography & Edit

The Lions Barber Collective is an organisation using the unique relationship between barbers and their clients to help tackle men's mental health and suicide. By training barbers to recognise signs of struggle and create space for honest conversations, they're helping people open up and access support before a crisis develops.

This project followed the charity's partnership with a GT4 racing team at Silverstone, bringing together two worlds that don't often meet: motorsport and mental health awareness.

For me, filming at Silverstone was a dream. Spending time in the pit lane and team garages, surrounded by race engineers, drivers and the sound of racing engines, was a genuinely special experience. Being given behind-the-scenes access to the team brought out a real sense of excitement and curiosity, while documenting a cause that genuinely makes a difference made the project all the more rewarding.

A brilliant crew, a fantastic atmosphere and one of those shoots that reminds you why filmmaking is such a great job.
